Lending Club looks to be a great peer-to-peer lending and investing company, allowing people interested in loans to gain access without using a bank as an intermediary. But I'm not sure that when applicants answer personal questions, they know their personal information is available via a google search, or even a guess at a URL.
Bing Travel posted some really nice roads to drive, from all over the world. I would add to their list Tail of the Dragon, a great road in Western NC/ East TN, and Serra Rio Do Rastro, near Lauro Müller, SC, Brazil (link). We drove the Serra Rio Do Rastro in a little Chevy rental car with no power steering in 2009, and it was a workout, dodging potholes and debris!
I stumbled across this lovely little movie on youtube earlier today, and thought it worth posting. While it seems like we often place math in it's own compartmentalized subject (once we graduate), it is amazing how it really is the basis of so much of our world. From carbon molecules, to plant variations, to decisions we make every day, numbers and their combination play an integral part.
